Natalie's friend sent in essay she wrote about crying & meeting Miley Cyrus
at her book signing in March:
So, today I got to The Grove at like 7 preparing to NOT cry. It was about 10:45 ish and that's when it hit me. I was going to meet Miley Cyrus. My idol for about 5 years. Then I became quiet.
I was nervous! What else was I supposed to do?! Then came the tears. Before
I even saw her I was crying. Our 'crew' started saying things like 'OMG Natalie don't cry! Your face will be a tomato in the picture!"
But then there were security guards coming up to me asking if I was okay. It
was finally time at 11. I went into super tears mode to where I couldn't even talk. Pretty ridiculous. On my way to the third floor like 4 cameras came over to us but focused on me. I didn't exactly love it because I was crying! But I didn't care I was meeting Miley anyway. (Oh wow I'm like shaking as I'm typing this.)
AS we are going up the escalator I was freaking out even more. MTV came up to me and interview me and I could like barely talk. Then it was my turn. Now I'm like BALLING to the extreme. Literally hyperventilating..
I go up to her and automatically once we made eye contact she stood up and gave me the biggest hug ever and she said 'aww oh my gosh your so cute!' That hug was like literally at least a min long. Then she took my book and signed it and gave me another hug and during that one I looked at Mammie..
..and she looked like she was crying! Then we took a picture but of course I didn't bring a camera. BUT about all news channels got pics and videos of it. Once they took that picture I wished I could re-live that moment forever.
